Community College in New Orleans breaks ground for learning center

Delgado Community College is replacing facility destroyed by Hurricane Katrina

Delgado Community College in New Orleans has begun construction of its new Marvin E. Thames Sr. Learning Resource Center. Nola.com says the building will replace the campus library facility that was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. The new 60,000-square-foot, one-story learning resource center will cost about $14 million. The architect is Sizeler Thompson Brown.
