Some parents of children whose attend overcrowded Chicago public schools say those campuses deserve improvements just as much as an elementary school in the affluent neighborhood that is in line for a $20 million annex. The Chicago Tribune reports that parents from Prieto Math and Science Academy say one fourth-grade class has 60 students, and eighth-graders are taking lessons in a hallway. District figures show that Prieto is more crowded than Lincoln Elementary, the campus the LIncoln Park neighborhood that is to receive the annex.
