The Chicago school district will build a three-story, 19-classroom annex to relieve crowding at Lincoln Elementary School. DNAinfo Chicago says the 41,315-square-foot addition will be built on the site of the school's paved play area; it will include an open-air play space on the roof to make up for the loss of recess space. The addition will increase the school's capacity by 420 students. Lincoln's ideal capacity is 660 students, but has 813 students this year.
