Video: Kansas student suspended for carrying purse claims discrimination

Anderson County district says no students are allowed to have purses or bags in classrooms.

Video from KCTV-TV: A 13-year-old eighth-grader in Garnett, Ks., says he was suspended from school because he refused to take off his purse. But Anderson County School District Superintendent Don Blome says all students, whether female or male, are prevented from having bags, purses, satchels and backpacks in their core classrooms.
