Bronx school won't have to share its building

New York City had planned to have Public School 1 share space with another school

New York City has withdrawn a plan to add another school inside the South Bronx building occupied by struggling Public School 1. The New York Daily News says P.S. 1 — which has earned a C or lower on its report cards for the last three years — received the reprieve after convincing district officials that scores were rising.
