A former student is suing the Tacoma (Wash.) school district, arguing that the district is liable for injuries he sustained after a fellow student repeatedly punched him in the face in the school cafeteria. The Tacoma News-Tribune says the lawsuit alleges that Mikael Wright was assaulted by another student in January 2012 at Stadium High School in Tacoma. The lawsuit asserts the assault occurred in front of school officials and employees, but that they failed to protect Wright.
