The $290 million bond proposal on next month's ballot in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg County (N.C.) school district is the smallest amount to go before voters in the past decade. The Charlotte Observer reports that the smaller price tag means fewer projects, and that could make it harder to get voters excited about new projects for their schools and neighborhoods.
