Student at Houston high school is cut in attack at bus stop

14-year-old boy intervened after a man tried to force another student to go with him.

A 14-year-old student at Westside High School in Houston waiting at a bus stop was slashed by a man with a knife. The Houston Chronicle reports students were waiting for their school bus when a man in mask tried to take a female student away by force. Other students intervened to stop the man, and one student, a 14-year-old boy, suffered a cut on his arm. He received stitches at a local hospital.
