Gun found at middle school in Shelby County, Tenn.

Incident comes less than a week after a gun brought to school by a kindergartner in the district fired accidentally.

For the second time in a week, a gun has been found at a school in the Shelby County (Tenn.) district. WMC-TV says the gun was found in a backpack at Cypress Middle School in Memphis after a school security officer received a tip from a student that a classmate had brought a gun to school. Last week, a gun that a kindergarten student brought to Westside Elementary School in Memphis discharged in the cafeteria. No one was injured.
