State law forces dissolution of the Buena Vista and Inskter districts.

The school districts in the Michigan communities of Buena Vista and Inkster will be dissolved under a new law after local officials missed a Monday deadline to find money to help operate next school year. The Detroit Free Press says state and intermediate school district officials will begin work to formalize the dissolution and reassign students to other systems. In Buena Vista, a $1-million deficit at the end of the 2011-12 school year ballooned to about $3.7 million by June 30. In Inkster, the deficit is about $15.8 million.
