June 4, 2013
Current and former students at Catherine Ferguson Academy say the school is providing inferior instruction.

A group of students and former students from Detroit's only high school for pregnant teens and young mothers is alleging in a lawsuit that their civil rights are being violated because the school is not meeting their educational needs. The Detroit News reports that the students from Catherine Ferguson Academy contend that they are victims of discrimination because they are being provided with an education that is grossly inferior to those in other schools.
