$135 million bond package approved in St. Tammany Parish (La.) district

Money will enable district to replace modular classrooms and carry out other school renovations.

Voters in the St. Tammany Parish (La.) School District have approved a $135 million bond package for school construction and technology and security upgrades. The New Orleans Times-Picayune says the school system's plan calls for replacing modular classrooms that have been used on six campuses since 1996 and 1997. The district also will renovate several campuses.
