One of the three teen-age girls who became trapped under an elevator at an Oklahoma City school contends in a lawsuit that the November 2011 incident left her disfigured and in need of continuing medical treatment. The Oklahoman says Ambri Tygard and her father are suing Oklahoma City Public Schools over the incident at the Classen School for Advanced Studies. Shortly after the incident, Superintendent Karl Springer said the door to the older, lift-style elevator should have been locked. But now that litigation is involved, lawyers for the district are arguing that the girl's negligence "was the sole cause of her injuries."
