Indiana Supreme Court upholds school voucher program

Judges decide unanimously that the 2011 law establishing voucher program is constituional.

Public tax dollars in Indiana may be used to pay for private school tuition under the state's voucher program. The Indianapolis Star reports that the state Supreme Court has ruled that the program is constitutional. The case began shortly after the program was created in 2011 when a group of teachers, school officials and parents contended in a lawsuit that the voucher program was unconstitutional.
