Video: 403 apply for expected openings on DeKalb County (Ga.) board

Six board members have been suspended by the governor, but are fighting to stay on the board.

Video: Now that a judge has upheld the Georgia governor's authority to suspend six of nine DeKalb County school board members, the interest in replacing those board members is high. WSB-TV says 403 people have submitted their names for appointment to the board. A panel appointed by the governor is expected to sift through the candidates and make recommendations. Meanwhile, the suspended board members are continuing to pursue a legal challenge to their suspensions.
