Dwight Jones is leaving after less than 3 years to care for his ailing mother.

Clark County (Nev.) Schools Superintendent Dwight Jones is stepping down from the nation's fifth-largest school district. The Las Vegas Sun says Jones, who was hired in October 2010, says he is leaving to take care of his ailing mother.
