Video: Court clears way for Georgia governor to suspend DeKalb school board members

Judge rejects request for an injunction that would have blocked the suspensions.

VIDEO: A federal judge has rejected an effort to block Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal from suspending six members of the DeKalb County School Board. MyFoxAtlanta.com says U.S. District Judge Richard Story declined to issue an injunction that would have prevented the suspensions. The board members argued to the judge that their removal from office was unconstitutional. Deal said last week he would suspend the six after an accrediting agency put the DeKalb district on probation because of fiscal mismanagement and inappropriate conduct by board members.
