Voters in Sumner and Fredericksburg approve consolidation

Voters have decisively approved a measure to consolidate the Sumner and Fredericksburg school districts in Iowa. The Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier says the merger, effective July 1, 2014, will establish the Sumner-Fredericksburg School District. It officially unites two school districts that have long shared school buildings, administrators and other resources.
