Clark County (Nev.) district seeks $13.5 million from state to acquire more portable classrooms

The Clark County (Nev.) School District, which averages six portable classrooms per elementary school, needs 210 more portables because the legislature is requiring Nevada schools to reduce the size of kindergarten classes. The Las Vegas Review-Journal says the law now calls for all kindergarten classes to have no more than 21 students by next school year. to help pay for the portables, the Clark County has decided to apply for $13.5 million from the Nevada Department of Education.
