Construction worker killed at Berkeley, Calif., middle school

Man was laying asphalt at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School when he was struck by a big rig.

A 62-year-old construction worker at a Berkeley, Calif., middle school was fatally struck by a big rig in an accident that occurred while incoming students were at orientation. The San Francisco Chronicle says the worker was part of a crew laying asphalt for an all-weather track at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
