Loyola University has won approval to build a new $67 million home for its business school in Chicago’s Gold Coast neighborhood. The Chicago Sun-Times says the university will construct a 10-story school of business that will bear the name of former McDonald’s CEO Michael R. Quinlan, whose $40 million donation is helping to pay for the project. Loyola will convert its existing business school facility into a library. The university secured additional funding for the project by selling land adjacent to new business school. Developers of that tract have received approval to build a 35-story residential building with 367 market-rate apartments.
