Jan. 7, 2014
Six more former educators have pleaded guilty in the Atlanta Public Schools test-cheating scandal. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says the pleas mean that 17 defendants have now pleaded guilty to reduced charges and received sentences of probation and community service. All have agreed to cooperate with prosecutors and testify against those still facing charges. Seventeen remaining defendants, including former Superintendent Beverly Hall, are scheduled to go on trial in May.
