One person arrested in attack of student in bathroom of Philadelphia high school

Victim's anti-bullying message posted with a video of the attack goes viral on social media.

One person has been arrested in connection with an attack last week of a student that was videotaped in a bathroom of a Philadelphia high school.

NBCPhiladelphia.com reports that the video of the attack was shared on social media and had been shared more than 54,000 times. It showed a group of girls attack another girl and repeatedly punch her in the head. School officials say the incident occurred on Jan. 27 at Northeast High School.

A video of the attack with a voiceover from the victim speaking out against bullying was posted on Facebook and has been viewed more than 2.2 million times as of Tuesday afternoon.

A spokesperson for the school district said action was taken against students involved in the attack, but did not provide details.
