Two girls wounded when gunmen shoot at school bus in Jacksonville, Fla. (with Video)

Injuries are not life-threatening; bus was filled with students when shooting took place.

Two girls riding home on a school bus in Jacksonville, Fla., were wounded by gunfire Thursday afternoon when gunmen began shooting at the bus.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported that two girls, 14 and 15, were wounded when two suspects fired guns into a school bus filled with students. The girls' were taken to a hospital, and their injuries were not life-threatening, authorities said.

First Coast News reports that police are questioning two persons of interest in connection with the shooting.

The Duval County school district says the bus the girls were riding in serves three schools: James Weldon Johnson Academy Career Training Center; Mattie V. Rutherford Alternative Education Center; and Grand Park Center.

Police provided escorts Friday morning to school buses running routes in the vicinity of the shooting.
