Police officers with the Houston Independent School District will be wearing body cameras when classes resume later this month.
When classes resume in the Houston Independent School District later this month, the 210 district police officers patrolling campuses will be wearing body cameras in an effort to enhance safety and security on campus.
“These cameras will serve as a vital tool to better monitor school environments, evaluate school incidents, and ensure our officers are performing well," Houston Independent School District Police Chief Robert Mock said when the pilot program was announced.
