A school bus crash in west Tennessee on Friday killed two students and injured at least seven other people.

The Associated Press reports that the crash involved a Tennessee Department of Transportation dump truck, a Chevrolet Trailblazer and a bus carrying students and employees from Kenwood Middle School in Clarksville.

Tennessee Highway Patrol Maor Travis Plotzer said there were 25 students and five adults on the bus traveling on a field trip to Jackson, Tennessee.

The cause of the crash was under investigation. At least seven other people were taken by air ambulance to hospitals in Tennessee.

Four people were taken to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville and were in stable condition Friday.

Another 19 people were taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Carroll County, a spokesperson said. All were evaluated and released, she said.
