Two people have been found shot to death inside a residence hall on the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs campus. CBS News reports that university police responded at about 6 a.m. Friday to calls about shots being fired in the Alpine Village residential area. Officers gained access to a room in the Crestone House residence halland found two bodies, each with at least one gunshot wound. Police identified the victims Sunday as Samuel Knopp, 24, a university student from Parker, Colorado, and Celie Rain Montgomery, 26, from Pueblo, who was not a student, the Denver Post reports. Few details of the investigation have been released, but police say they do not believe this was a murder-suicide. No one is in custody in connection with the deaths. Investigators say they believe the shootings were "an isolated incident between parties that were known to one another and not a random attack against the school or other students at the university.” Classes have been canceled Friday and Monday. About 11,300 students are enrolled on the campus. University Chancellor Jennifer Sobanet said in an online message that "it is with the utmost sadness that I write to you about an isolated shooting incident that took place early this morning on our campus."
