Florida teacher is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV in high school parking lot
A Florida high school teacher was in critical condition after she was hit by a sport utility vehicle in the parking lot of her school.
Ciera “Coach” McKeon, 28. is a physical education teacher and girls' tennis coach at Anclote High School in the Pasco County district, The Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 6:50 a.m. The driver of the SUV that struck McKeon is a 24-year-old man from Clearwater who did not see her prior to the impact. He was not injured.
Pasco Fire Rescue officials said in a news release that after being hit, McKeon was trapped under the SUV. She was rescued and flown to an area hospital.
