Three Florida students allegedly planned to set school on fire

The students were plotting to set a girls bathroom on fire at Six Mile Charter Academy in Fort Meyers, but other students overheard the rumors and notified police.

Three students at a charter school in Fort Myers, Fla., have been accused of planning to set the school on fire.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office has arrested the three 11-year-old students who were allegedly plotting the attempted arson at Six Mile Charter Academy.

Other students overheard rumors of the fire plot and notified police, reports WINK news

Authorities say the three students planned to set fire to a girls bathroom on the second floor of the school so that “the rude people would die in the fire.”

One student says that one of the suspects threatened to set her on fire if she told on them.

A juvenile court judge has sent the three students to juvenile detention for 21 days.
