The Kansas City Star reports that the shooting occurred Tuesday morning during a quarrel the men had with another worker outside Sunrise Point Elementary School in the Blue Valley School District. No students were at the school at the time of the shooting.

Todd E. Davis, 48, of Lee's Summit, Mo., was killed. Efren J. Gomez, 54, was wounded and remained in critical condition Thursday, authorities say.
