SWAT team rescues 2 kidnapped University of Rochester students
Two students at the University of Rochester were rescued by a SWAT team after being abducted and held for more than a day.
NBC News reports that a Sunday night raid in Rochester, N.Y., freed free students Nicholas Kollias, 21, of Northbrook, Ill., and Ani Okeke-Ewo, 21, of Aurora, Ill. One of the two students--authorities did not say which--suffered a gunshot wound in his leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police say four people were in taken into custody after the raid.
The two students were reported missing about 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. They had last been seen around 2 a.m. that morning
Rochester police carried out the SWAT team rescue after investigators were able to determine the home where the students were being held.
