The principal of Harrisburg (S.D.) High School suffered a flesh wound in the arm Wednesday morning after a 16-year-old student fired a weapon at the school.

KSFY-TV reports that Principal Kevin Lein was wounded, but was spared further harm when assistant principal Assistant Principal Ryan Rollinger tackled the student and held him down with help from the athletic director, police said. The shooter is in custody, and no one else was injured.

Police say the student entered the school's main office, and had a physical confrontation with Lein. What led to the confrontation was not disclosed. At some point during the confrontation, the student pulled out a handgun and allegedly shot Lein in the arm. Lein was treated at a local hospital and was reported to be "in very good spirits."
