One person was shot to death and three others were wounded at Tennessee State University in Nashville when a quarrel erupted during a dice game. The shooter is still at large, police say.
WSMV-TV reports that Cameron Selmon, 19, of Memphis, who was not a student at the university, was fatally shot a little before 11 p.m. Thursday in a courtyard behind the Floyd-Payne Campus Center.
Three 18-year-old female Tennessee State students who walking by the area were wounded by the gunfire. One victim was grazed by a bullet and did not require hospitalization; the other two victims were treated at a hospital and released.
Police say they recovered a pistol from the courtyard where the shooting took place.
Metro Nashville Police spokesman Don Aaron says several students were present when the quarrel took place, and some of them were recording video and pictures.
On-campus activities proceeded as normal on Friday.
