Of the 100 largest school districts in the United States, four state in Utah had the lowest per-pupil expenditure in fiscal 2017.
The Jordan, Alpine, Davis County and Granite districts spent from $6,333 to $7,292 per pupil in fiscal 2017, according to figures from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).
Those four were the only school systems among the 100 largest to have per-pupil spending of less than $8,000.
Here are the 10 districts in the top 100 that had the lowest spending per student in fiscal 2017.
