The least educated states in the USA

The WalletHub website looked at 18 metrics and found that MIssissippi is the state with the least educated residents.

            Mississippi is the least educated of the 50 states, according to an analysis by the website WalletHub.

To rank the most and least educated states in America, WalletHub looked at 18 metrics, which all into two categories: educational attainment and quality of education.

The specific metrics included those 25 and older with a high school diploma; with at least some college; with a bachelor's degree; and with a graduate or professional degree.

Other factors examined were quality of public school systems and universities; public high school graduate rate; and racial and gender gaps in educational attainment.

Here are the 10 states that WalletHub ranked as the least educated:
