States projected to have the most students graduating from public high schools, 2025-26
The National Center for Education Statistics projects that in the 2025-26 school year, 3,371,680 students will graduate from public high schools in the United States.
That is 6.4 percent more graduates than the 3,169,257 students who graduated in 2012-13, according to the NCES's Projection of Education Statistics to 2025.
California, with more than 417,000 projected high school graduates in 2025-26, leads the list of states with the highest number of projected graduates.
Here are the 10 states projected to have the most graduates.
