The United Kingdom is the most popular destination for Americans pursuing their education outside the United States.

The International Institute of Education's Open Doors report states that 313,415 college students from the United States were studying abroad in 2014-15.

The most popular landing spot for Americans studying abroad is the United Kingdom—38,189 students journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean to pursue their education there.

Here are the top 10 destinations for U.S. students enrolled in higher-education programs in other countries.
