In two districts, more than half of the students are enrolled in charter schools.

Among school districts with more than 10,000 students, 190 have at least 10 percent of their students enrolled in charter schools, according to the National Alliance for Public Charter Schools.

The Alliance says that in 2015-16, about 2.9 million students—about 6 percent of the nation's public school students—were enrolled in charter schools.

The school systems that operate in New Orleans and Detroit had more than half their students in charters in 2015-16.

Here are the 10 districts that had the highest percentage of charter school students in 2015-16.
