The QS World University Rankings 2013-14 assesses the quality of more than 2,000 higher-education institutions in the world, and the top 400 are given individual ranking positions.
To arrive at its findings, the organization gathers information related to six criteria: academic reputation (40%), employer reputation (10%), student-to-faculty ratio (20%), citations per faculty (20%), international faculty ratio (5%), and international student ratio (5%).
