Nearly 4.5 million K-12 students attended one of the more than 30,000 private schools in the United States in 2011-12. Here are the 10 states with the most students enrolled in private schools, according to "Characteristics of Private Schools in the United States: Results From the 2011–12 Private School Universe Survey," released by the National Center for Education Statistics.
