Federal funding for schools

In Fiscal 2011, federal funding accounted for 12.3 percent of the revenue received by U.S. school districts, a report from the U.S. Census Bureau says. Federal support ranged from 5.1 percent in New Jersey to 22.3 percent in Mississippi.
