Declining state support for schools

A study of state budgets over the last 6 years finds that school districts in most states are getting much less financial support.

A study by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says that at least 34 states are providing less funding per student in 2013-14 for K-12 schools than they did before the recession hit six years ago. Here are the 10 states with the greatest (inflation-adjusted) drops in per-pupil support.
