Editor's Focus: New Beginnings

Feb. 11, 2017
2017 is bringing change to American School & University just as it most likely is bringing change to you.

The New Year always brings about change. Whether it’s through the resolutions you make (and if you are like me, have already “slightly” broken) or unplanned events that you must adapt to, a new year typically results in new beginnings.

2017 is bringing change to American School & University just as it most likely is bringing change to you. This is a combined January/February issue of AS&U. Traditionally, the January and February issues were two separate publications. However, for reasons that are shared below, they are now combined.

You, our valued audience, have adapted and evolved in the way you consume information. While the monthly magazine is still an invaluable resource, your need for insight, news and information is varied and much more frequent. Based on research, we’ve adapted our products to better serve you in a rapidly changing education facilities and business operations environment.

Supplementing the award-winning magazine, which will be published nine times in 2017, we’ve beefed up our product lineup to provide you with multiple touch points and daily exposure that will give you numerous opportunities to get the valuable information you need to succeed. Among the information-rich publications and opportunities available in addition to the magazine include:

  • Daily education facilities and business news, articles, research, data, video and more at www.ASUmag.com
  • Our now twice weekly e-newsletter Schoolhouse Beat delivers the latest intelligence for education facilities, business and administrative professionals.
  • First Monday product enews brings you innovative products for education institutions.
  • The weekly Facilities Focus e-newsletter offers exceptional insight into energy management and building operations strategies.
  • The Green School & University e-newsletter offers monthly analysis of sustainable and green practices at schools and universities.
  • Find data, information, photos and more on 5,000+ recently completed education construction projects at www.SchoolDesigns.com
  • Social media updates via our Twitter (@ASU_mag) and Facebook feeds.
  • Take advantage of professional development opportunities via white papers and webinars offered through AS&U.

As technology has advanced and as your job has evolved, so have the options in which information is disseminated and received. Visit www.ASUmag.com to sign up to take advantage of any of the opportunities mentioned above.
