Texas State University completes $42 million upgrade of football facility

The 85,000-square-foot expansion of the Bobcat Stadium endzone complex provides numerous amenities for athletes and fans.

Texas State University in San Marcos has completed a $42 million renovation and addition to the Bobcat Stadium End Zone Complex, now named the Johnny and Nathali Weisman Football Performance Center.

The 85,000-square-foot expansion is designed to enhance player development and the fan experience, according to Pfluger Architects.

The facility has new banquet space and exterior concourses, plus major upgrades to the field house, including an 8,000-square-foot weight room, 3,000-square-foot training room.
 
The End Zone Complex at Bobcat Stadium needed an upgrade to compete for player and coaching talent as it prepares to join the Pac-12 Conference. The upgraded complex now has features such as in-ground hydrotherapy and cold-plunge pools, meeting spaces, locker room enhancements, and a barber shop.

The improvements complete circulation for the 30,000-capacity stadium; exterior concourses connect indoor lounges directly to the stadium, and a new elevator provides upper-level access.
 
The complex also has a players’ lounge and lobby/community area with interactive and digital displays. A hospitality suite opens onto a rooftop terrace with sweeping stadium views. An expanded concourse bridge connects to a shaded outdoor terrace, where fans can cheer for the players as they run onto the field.

The builder is White Construction.
