Technology school in Burlington County, N.J., gets $14 million upgrade

The Burlington County Institute of Technology has completed a major expansion of its Westampton, New Jersey, campus.

NJ.com reports that the 39,000-square-foot, $14 million expansion and renovation project added classroom space, a large logistics training area, and a diesel engine garage.

The upgrades are designed to enhance education and training opportunities for students in automotive technology, heavy equipment and diesel technology, and global business and supply chain management programs, officials said.

The expansion will also enable the school to enroll an additional 100 students.

State grants from the Securing Our Children’s Future Bond Act funded most of the construction project.
