Baptist seminary in New Orleans approves $12 million campus renovation
New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Leavell College has approved a $12 million upgrade of campus facilities.
Student housing, the cafeteria and the student center will be renovated, reports The Alabama Baptist.
The cafeteria's $5 million upgrade includes construction of a 4,000-square-foot addition to house the kitchen and storage. The second-floor meeting room will be remodeled, and an elevator and mezzanine will be added.
A $4.5 million student housing upgrade will renovate living units and create a new faculty home. Eight new apartments will be constructed in the college's former Shepherd's Corner building.
Willingham Manor, which houses married students, also will undergo extensive restoration.
