The Litchfield (Minn.) district is revamping several schools
The Litchfield (Minn.) school district is carrying out renovations at several campuses this summer.
The district is working on multiple renovations at its high school and middle school complex as well as Lake Ripley Elementary.
Litchfield High School was built in 1964, and the middle school added on in 1994. All three school buildings are targeted to be completed by September 2022, reports Litchfield Independent Review.
Funding for the construction projects comes from a $33.8 million bond issue that voters approved in November 2019.
Included in the work are upgrades to the main entrances of the schools, updates to special education learning areas and improved mechanical and electrical systems.
The middle school’s media center also will get an upgrade, as will the Family and Consumer Sciences/STEM and art classroom areas.
Litchfield High School will see improvements in its career and technical education areas, along with an upgrade to the school’s weight and cardio room, and the media center.
