A private Catholic college near Boston will be able to offer new recreational opportunities when a renovation and expansion project is finished next summer.
Stonehill College in Easton, Mass., is progressing on a 24,000-square-foot renovation and 50,000-square-foot addition project at its Sally Blair Ames Sports Complex, which was originally built in 1988.
The work will create the new Rev. Mark T. Cregan, C.S.C. Athletics and Fitness Center, which will house recreation spaces for group exercise and dance on the existing first floor. Additionally, the facility will also house new locker rooms, a varsity weight room, athletic office space and the Lou Gorman ’53 Pavilion.
BOND is the construction manager, and Sasaki Associates is the design firm. Both are based in the Boston area. BOND used in-house Building Information Modeling (BIM) and laser scanning services to analyze and develop the facility.
