North Dakota district breaks ground on new school

The Valley City district is building a $46 million facility for grades 3 to 12.

The Valley City (North Dakota) School District has broken ground on a facility for grades 3 to 12.

NewsDakota.com reports that the construction project also will prvide space for school district offices. The building will be connected to Jefferson Elementary School and is expected to open by fall 2028. 

The second phase of the project calls for the demolition of the existing junior and senior high school building and the development of a new parking lot.

Funding for construction comes from a $46 million bond proposal approved by voters in 2025.

The architect is ICON Architectural Group, and the construction manager is Construction Engineers.
