Roosevelt High School, one of the oldest facilities in the Fresno (California) Unified School District, will soon get a second gymnasium.
The Fresno Bee reports that the 13,300-square-foot auxiliary gym will have seating for more than 900, as well as additional courts, practice areas for training, and instructional spaces.
The existing gym at the 97-year-old Roosevelt campus has a capacity of 1,200.
Funding for the project comes from Measure M, a $325 million bond package that voters passed in 2020.
David Moreno Construction secured the construction contract for the gym with a bid of $10,376,315.
